and much more ahead. yesterday, it was so nice, i went for a walk, had no idea where i was going, just wanted to get outside. >> i did the same thing, wife and i went for a walk. 60 degrees officially yesterday afternoon in boston, sitting at 49 right now with a light breeze that makes it feel like 44. this time last week, i was talking about wind chill ratings that were below 0. already above the expected high of 40. if you look closely, we do have clouds streaming from the west but you get the idea, see a few of those crossing our skies from time to time. also have a cold front on the map and the air on the other side of the front is also a little bit cooler. bottom line, there's not going to be a huge warmup from the morning until the afternoon.

out there right now. 40 would be for the normal high, so we're already above that. on the tail end of that front, here's an area of low pressure spinning around here in the ohio river valley. watch the motion of the rain associated with that moving basically due east. bottom line, this storm will pass well to our south and give us a glancing blow. late this evening, it does look like at some point after midnight that will change over the snow but, again, only for those areas and already by about 6:00 tomorrow morning, by daybreak tomorrow morning, that's out of here. unless you're in those areas in the middle of the night, you will not see a snow flake so this is not going to have a huge impact on our weather. the next coming from the soit and bringing a lot of moisture from the gulf of mexico with it. here's the issue. the timing has moved up a little bit. it looks like the rain would again wednesday evening and now it's more like wednesday morning.

be cold enough that the leading edge of this could be a wintery mix. eventually we'll be on the warmer side of the system so it will bring the warmer weather with it from the south so the weather will quickly change to all rain. talking 50s by the time we get to thursday afternoon. this storm system is likely to bring not only heavy rain but strong, gusty winds, even a question. this same system taking tracks through the great lakes in the springtime, heavy rain, gusty winds likely, wednesday night into thursday. possibly beginning all as a brief wintery mix for l so of the area wednesday morning. so that will be the time to watch. wednesday into thursday and again, one e even 2-inches of rain not out of the question. behind that, cooler, drier weather likely as we head into the weekend. in other words, next weekend, guys, sadly does not look near

the 9-year-old was saved but thompson did not survive. police say gerald rodriguez stole another man's wallet. police showed up and found the two men fighting. emergency crews on the scene of a serious accident in lawrence. a car flipped over on south union street landing upside down as you can see, in the middle of the road. the streets were shut down as crews removed that car. hundreds of home less are being vaccinated after a disease killed one man last week. the general public is not at risk.

a pizza restaurant destroyed by flames. police believe a man set 7 fires across the state and it may have all started over a wrong pizza order. 7 ease elizabeth maraka had more. >> 23-year-old scott basil, seen here from last month, has been missing for nearly 7 weeks. his family worried sick but police believe he disappeared intentionally, that he took off after several connecticut pizzaria. there's now a warrant for his arrest. >> there are several attempts of arson that occurred. >> take a look at the damage from the most recent fire on christmas day. broken winds, ceiling lights on the floor, about $25,000 worth of damage at the pizza shop.

you can see the rain or snow developing in the ohio river valley but notice how it's moving basically due east. it's going to be kind of a glancing blow beginning as rain this evening and as cooler air continues to work its way in here overnight tonight. it will likely change over to snow and the pink would be the nix, the snow wub the white and the blue. we're only talking of a few areas that will even see this and really only in the middle of the night. the next storm system is coming up from the south and bringing with it a ton of gulf of mexico moisture. this one looks more like a big deal. the timing has moved up with the leading edge of the precipitation getting here wednesday morning. i have had a couple of people messaging me saying i have this and that on wednesday morpg, really not worried about it.
